Merchandising Intern (University Students Only)

Role and Responsibilities will include:

• Understand the responsibilities of the merchandising function on a day to day basis and within the seasonal cycle.
• Understand the Critical Path and the management of deliveries into the business.
• Allocate stock accurately according to the distribution range plan.
• Understand replenishment and ensure that the stock is in the right place at the right time.
• Make suggestions in reaction to current trade to affect allocations and replenishment and agree proposed actions with the Merchandiser and Branch Merchandiser.
• Gain an understanding of Merchandising analysis across key areas such as bestsellers, sizing, promotions and markdowns.
• Improve skills such as time management, communication and working as a team and other departments (Branch Merchandising, Buying, DC)
• Systems training including Excel.
• General Administration.
